A love for medicine, spending time with friends, and guacamole for breakfast aren’t the only things Hanan Ali adores. She also expresses her passion through club involvement.
While finding a career path is a challenge for many, Hanan, as a sophomore, has made it clear that she wants to enter the medical industry.
“Ever since I was little, helping people has been something that I was passionate about,” said sophomore Hanan Ali. “It fills me with joy to see other people thrive.”
Hanan mentioned that she grew up watching medical shows like “Grey’s Anatomy”, which sustained her interest. Another way she maintained this interest was through a club called Healing Hands.
“I found out about Healing Hands through one of my friends,” said Ali. “I went to one of the first meetings and it turned out be really fun for me.”
Hanan also expressed her desire to attend Stanford to complete her medical degree and then decide on a specialty.
“I hope to become an inspiration to others and to be helpful to others as well,” said Ali.
Despite the long journey ahead, Hanan demonstrates her determination to pursue her passion for medicine and helping those in need.
